Charles M. Yarborough, MD, MPH, FACOEM

Senior Physician Consultant/Medical Epidemiologist

Dr. Yarborough’s more than three decades of training and experience spans a wide range of organizations, roles and issues. He is nationally recognized for performing major health hazard evaluations, designing strategies for comprehensive company health programs, developing medical screening and monitoring procedures, and assisting the legal and regulatory communities.

He has advised several multinational companies including Exxon, Caterpillar, American Cyanamid and BASF Corporations, as well as the Department of Defense and the US Environmental Protection Agency. Currently, he is on the staff of both the Johns Hopkins Department of Medicine and its School of Public Health.

He is expert in the effects of many environmental contaminants, including plastics, petrochemicals, diesel exhaust, lead, pesticides, and solvents as well as the diseases to which they contribute, including lung diseases, cancer, reproductive disorders and other exposure-related conditions.

A Board Member and Fellow of the American College of Occupation and Environmental Medicine, he is also a member of the American College of Preventive Medicine. He is board certified in both Preventive and Internal Medicine.
